He is proficient in HD Digital Video as well as Super 16 and 35-mm, and is the owner of a complete Red Digital Camera.
Philip has been the Director of Photography on over a dozen feature films, most recently: “Trade of Innocents” with Mira Sorvino and Dermot Mulroney, “Blue Seduction” with Billy Zane and Estella Warren for Starz Media, and two theatrical releases, “The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry” with Jansen Panettiere and "Time Changer" with Gavin MacLeod. His credits include: 2nd unit DP work on “The Visitation”, a 20th Century Fox release produced by Ralph Winter, and “The Trial” with Matthew Modine.
Philip has also recently DP’d on several major advertising campaigns for Chrysler, Hexbug Toys, Carl’s Jr., and Pizza Hut. His stylistic innovation, dedication to each project, and ability to work quickly makes him the choice for both producers and directors. Based in Los Angeles, the Emmy winning Hurn also holds a European Union passport and is available for work worldwide.
