I shot my first short film “Chemical People” in Edinburgh as part of the National UK 48 hr Film challenge. After 7 years abroad i came home to Cape Town. After knocking on a couple of doors i was fortunate enough to join the Creative Research department at award winning production company “Egg Films” in 2003 . Assisting some of South Africa’s premier Commercial Directors in the pre production conceptualization process proved to be hugely beneficial in honing my fledgling Directing skills. Opting not to pursue the conventional route to becoming a commercials director, i started my own video production company Into the light films in 2009, specializing in Short Films, Documentaries, Broadcast and more recently Commercials. I am equally comfortable in Directing, Camera Operating(HD) and Editing. I believe in telling thought provoking, uplifting stories with a morale stance.
