Born in South Africa, Lance has worked at the highest level of production as an assistant director for the past 14 years and completed over 40 international feature films in Africa, Asia, Europe and the USA, including 10000BC, How To Lose Friends And Alienate People, Last Chance Harvey and the Oscar® Nominated films Hotel Rwanda and In Bruges.
Having directed and co-directed several award-winning short films, Lance recently co-directed his debut feature film, Forget Me Not, which has won several awards on the international film festival circuit, including best film at the London Independent Film Festival and has been released theatrically in the USA and UK in 2011.
In 2004 Lance was commissioned by the UK film producers trade body PACT, to produce a definitive overview of the British Film industry that was then shown in the House of Commons and at the Cannes Film Festival. He was also Associate Producer on the documentary The Angry Skies, which investigated the long-term effects of the Khmer Rouge rule of Cambodia. Lance has also worked as an assistant director and production manager on over 100 television commercials.
ALEXANDER HOLT -Director
Prior to co-directing the award winning feature film Forget Me Not with Lance Roehrig, Alex has worked in the film, television and theatre industries all over the world. Alex grew up in South Africa before moving to the UK in 1997. He was Artistic Director for 10th Planet Productions for 12 years where he produced and directed over 40 productions for the London stage, regional theatres and international touring circuit.
He is a recipient of the prestigious Stage One/Society Of London Theatre New Producer's Bursary and has worked for a number of leading producers including Sir Cameron Mackintosh and the RSC.
Alex has many years’ experience in casting and script development working with some of the UK’s leading writers, actors and directors including Judi Dench, Jeremy Irons, Julie Walters, Juliet Stevenson, Robert Lindsay and Sir Peter Hall.
In film Alex has directed and co-directed several award-winning short films, as well as working as a production designer on
several feature films. Most recently he has taken the role as of assistant director on several features including Madonna’s W.E,
Jane Eyre, starring Judi Dench and Michael Fassbender and My Week With Marilyn with Michelle Williams and Kenneth Branagh.Website:
