Winner of the 2003 Best Cinematography DVDX award for the Jessica Alba film ‘Sleeping Dictionary’, I’ve worked on dozens of award-winning feature films and television dramas. I enjoy both features and television equally, am now based in London and available for work worldwide.

I began my career as a still photographer before becoming an editor for numerous music videos. Being enamored by the camera I then found work as an assistant cameraman and learned my trade under such notable DP's as Peter Hyams ('2010', 'End of Days'), and John Bartley ASC ('X-Files') who taught me the necessity of practical sources, and production design. I then moved into cinematography and shot a multitude of music videos before moving into commercials and drama. I’m what they call a Canadian Landed Immigrant, and carry a UK Passport whose picture shows me having a really bad hair day.

Tony Robinson and..... The Medieval Reincarnation - Flashback Television for Channel 4. United Kingdom 2008 - Director. In the 1970's a group of middle class housewives all claimed to have been Cathars, murdered in a previous life. Weirdly a lot of the things they 'remembered' were historically accurate. How could they have known? History, science and a good yarn.

The drama for this film was filmed in just four days on location in Hungary.

With an early formal training in design, I studied Production Design at the London Film School. From there, I first worked under Oscar-winning designers John Box and Roy Walker, and my resume has been built up with work in the art department on pictures such as Polanski’s ‘The Pianist’ (as senior set designer), ‘Colour Me Kubrick’ and ‘Mrs Henderson Presents’. My work also includes television drama and commercials and I’m now taking the step up to production design on the forthcoming ‘Cowboys for Christ’.
