Shayan Italia, an India born singer/songwriter/ singer who performs in English, commissioned me to Direct and Produce this promo with i2ic. This resulted in Shayan's first appearance on UK Television being interviewed by Sir David Frost as 'the new Elton John from India'.

With an early formal training in design, I studied Production Design at the London Film School. From there, I first worked under Oscar-winning designers John Box and Roy Walker, and my resume has been built up with work in the art department on pictures such as Polanski’s ‘The Pianist’ (as senior set designer), ‘Colour Me Kubrick’ and ‘Mrs Henderson Presents’. My work also includes television drama and commercials and I’m now taking the step up to production design on the forthcoming ‘Cowboys for Christ’.

Being enamored by the camera I then found work as an assistant cameraman and learned my trade under such notable DP's as Peter Hyams ('2010', 'End of Days'), and John Bartley ASC ('X-Files') who taught me the necessity of practical sources, and production design. I’m what they call a Canadian Landed Immigrant, and carry a UK Passport whose picture shows me having a really bad hair day.
